The world is too much with us. And because it is, we disconnect from our power. This power arises from being centered in ourselves, feeling peaceful and knowing what we believe in. When we are whole, our world will be whole.

Natural disasters, like the Asian Tsunami, like Katrina, created waves within us to open up our hearts and respond as best we knew. We expressed it as best we could through prayers, through our pocketbook, and through sharing our deep concern. What it did for us was teach us love.

When you give, you set in motion the process of receiving. And when you give with love, simply because your heart is open, the receiving comes back multiplied, pressed over, and overflowing.

When we learn to love we open up our soul to communicate with God, for the purpose of life is to learn how to love. We learn to move beyond egoic love to pure, selfless love. We love for its own sake and not for what we will gain.

Although reality may appear harsh, things are not what they seem. The underlying truths expressed by quantum mechanics and eastern religion, show that contrary to appearance a benign agenda inspires everything.

What is the meaning of life? While we are in the business of getting, we should gather the true currency of the soul. We are here for a purpose. And when our intention is pure, we ascend to success in this life and the next.

We confuse ourselves about the meaning of the spiritual path. And because of this confusion, we never embark on it. Yet the end of confusion comes from looking at the essence of true spirituality. Once we capture that essence, we can act in a way that sets our feet on that path.
