Your volleyball sunglasses can make or break your game. As anyone who has ever gone to the beach knows, and that should probably include pretty much everyone, the sun at the beach can be intense. If sunglasses are a necessity for anyone at the beach, this is especially so for beach volleyball players.

The main difficulty beach volleyball players face is having to keep their eyes on a white ball flying in front of the white hot sun! And not only that, but if something goes wrong, volleyball players will have to search for the white ball on white sand. Indeed, it is the glare of the sun off the sand that can be particularly brutal for beach volleyball players. They also have to deal with diving into the sand and getting sand in their eyes.

In order to deal with all of these situations, any beach volleyball player who wants to succeed should invest in a quality pair of volleyball sunglasses. Even recreational players will benefit from high-quality sunglasses. They will be amazed at how much more in control they will be, how much more responsive to the movements of the ball they will be now that they can actually look at the ball without squinting in pain.

Indeed, it is not just the players who want to succeed who should get good sunglasses. Sunglasses will simply make the game more enjoyable for anyone wearing them because they will release pressure in your face by not forcing you to constantly squint, and will help you avoid the headaches that come from staring at bright lights for too long. And last, but certainly not least, since even average quality sunglasses will have a UV coating, wearing sunglasses while you play volleyball will protect your sensitive eyes from harmful rays.

When buying a pair of volleyball sunglasses, make sure they have a UV coating, and are sufficiently dark to serve their purpose. After that, whichever kind of sunglasses you choose will depend on your own personal style and comfort. When trying the sunglasses on, make sure the fit is snug so they will not come flying off your face, without being too tight so that they would be a distraction. No matter what style you get, you should also ensure that the lenses are large enough to cover your entire eye area. Also, if the lenses are closer to your eyes, they will provide better prevention from sand getting kicked in your face.
