There are a lot of things to look back to in the previously ended season. The wins that made every punter rich and the loses which made punters realise that there is really no guarantee in betting. It is also good to remember the names that made it big on the season plus the injuries and transfer controversies. Here are the highlights of the football season 2006/2007:
Season 2006/2007 made way for major transfers. There are a lot of controversies regarding the transfers. Some were merely rumours while some are true insider information. So what are the “true blue” transfers? Well, Chelsea has won Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack. Real Madrid has welcomed Ruud van Nistelrooy in its team. West Ham United’s new players are Javier Mascherano, Matthew Upson and Carlos Tevez. Aston Villa has also a new recruit, Ashley Young while Bolton Wanderers has Dietmar Hamann. So far these are the confirmed transfers.
This season has been the clash between Chelsea and Manchester United and their fans. These two teams were very tight against each other this season. A lot of controversies on the season have been about these two popular teams. Chelsea made it on the FA Cup while Manchester Unites grabbed the champion title at the premier league. The match against each team was tight and it made some punters lose a great deal of money. Why? Because nothing seems predictable. Both teams are doing their best and it’s hard to tell who’s going to win and who’s going to lose.
There is a long list of injuries almost in each team. This had a huge effect on the performance of the players and the teams in general.
Let us not forget the winners on this football season. The Premier League champion is Manchester United. Chelsea would have been a big threat to this but it lost against Arsenal. However, it was able to take home the FA Cup beating Manchester United. It has also succeeded getting the Carling Cup. This season was really in favour of Chelsea – so it seems.
This season, we all have seen how some teams thrived while others lost. But in the end, it is the enjoyment, thrill and passion that matters. We all did enjoy the season and it is definitely worth looking back to.
