Why Are Articles Important?

If you have a website to promote how do you do it? - well I would suggest to you that you write an article about your site or subject area and get it published. Well that sounds great but how do I publish and what are the advantages of publishing?
To publish your article you can simply go to a article directory site and submit it - quick, easy and free. But why bother? - well articles from article directory sites may be picked up by people producing websites , newsletters and other content and used on their site - this will always include a link to the author - that is you!. This link is important because a) it gives people a way to find your site ( they click on the link ) and b) it provides a link to your site that will help your listing in the search engines - and all for free!.
You do not need to be a gifted writer in order to produce an article. Simply write about what you know, try and be original and informative on your subject. It is also vitally important that you check the grammar and spelling in your article - if an article is filled with spelling mistakes then it is unlikely to be received well. The internet is such a diverse place that there is an audience for almost anything, in fact targeting very specific, highly focussed areas can be an advantage due to the lack of competition - this is referred to as a "niche".
On the other side of the coin if you are producing a website then having good quality content is a vital factor. Obviously you cannot generate all this content yourself so you need a reliable source of top quality, fresh content that is where article directory sites come in !. They can provide you with articles for your site / newsletter etc in text or RSS format. The articles can easily be incorporated into your site giving you the fresh content the search engines love. As content on these article sites is usually updated on a daily basis they can be an almost never ending source of fresh content - and all for free !
So articles are a win win situation - good for the producer and the user so let's get busy producing and using this great resource. Remember if you are not using articles as part of your marketing campaign - your competition will be !
