This results in carpet discoloration and carpet shrinking. You also run the risk of mold and mildew arising in your carpeting, this problem is not a minor one, and should be avoided at all costs. Mold and mildew is literally a growing problem for many homeowners across the country. It can be very difficult to sell a house that has a mold or mildew build-up, because not only does the house smell horrible, but it is also very unhealthy to breathe mold and mildew spores.
And finally stains are the most difficult carpet cleaning hazard and may occur due to furniture coming into contact with wet carpeting. Wooden furniture releases some of the dyes in their stain when it comes in contact with a wet carpet. Furniture with metal feet may also stain the carpet. Home carpet cleaners often forget to remove all the furniture from the carpet when cleaning.
