With so many UK property buyers looking for Spanish property for sale opportunities, the sector, of late, has become quite sluggish in many areas. Luckily, the Costa Almeria still has a lot to offer.
Traditionally holidaymakers who already know the region come back and look to find a Costa Almeria property for sale -- either as a holiday home or as a relocation opportunity. Nowadays, however, the word on this region has spread and its popularity has grown so those looking for a traditional Spanish property for sale will find lots to choose from here.
Arboleas
Arboleas is a small coastal town in the Costa Almeria which is becoming an increasingly popular place in which to buy a home. The town has very good transport links, yet gives visitors an unspoilt location from which to relax or to explore the surrounding area.
The medieval town has seen a significant increase in its population in recent years yet retains all the local charm and colour for which it is renowned. It lies in the Almanzora valley and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Those people looking for Arboleas property for sale have various options. This region of Spain is one of the last to take advantage of the boom in foreign buyers. So, compared to many areas it is still tranquil and full of local colour. It is unlikely that the increasing desire to find Costa Almeria property for sale will change the region much. The people here are proud of their traditions and culture and -- whilst welcoming to new residents -- are keen to keep the region as unspoilt as possible.
According to a Daily Telegraph property survey people are choosing properties in this region because it “is quieter than the Costa Blanca, cheaper than the Costa del Sol.” The recent advent of low cost airline flights to local airports has also helped here. The fact that the region also doesn’t suffer from a mass influx of tourists in the summer season also makes it attractive to many.
The kinds of Arboleas property for sale options on offer are varied. Some people opt to self-build, whilst others buy purpose built holiday homes. The charm of the local architecture also leads many people to actually buy within the town centre itself as properties become available. Choices here include: apartments, studios, houses and villas.
