High School Students - Ages 14-16
High School students are well on their way to completing their physical development. Growth now concerns the development of self-identity, and making decisions about the future. High School students want to be treated like adults, although their aspirations frequently exceed their capabilities. Peer group influences are intense, sometimes causing conflict between their peer and adult roles. High School students are interested in philosophical and ethical problems, readily expressing contradictions in the moral code that they view in society.
High School students are ready to begin planning and implementing major community service project, either themselves or within the groups they belong.

College Age Adults - Ages 17-24
College age individuals are now beginning to learn to live independently and are beginning to make choices concerning their careers and their futures. This is a time to form intimate relationships and to integrate values into a personal philosophy that will define his adult moral and ethical standard. Able to make and sustain personal commitments, college age persons can commit to long tern community involvement. They are excellent role models for younger students and would be successful mentors, counselors, and tutors.
