Can You Adjust to a Car GPS?

Are you considering getting a GPS system for your automobile? You have read up on how to install a GPS, work it and you can not wait to jump in and get going. You know for sure you want a GPS systme. However have you thought about the adjustments you will have to make?
No More Getting Lost. Once you start using a Car GPS your days of getting lost are over. Have you considered what you will lose by not getting lost? Where is your sense of adventure? You probably have a whole set of adventure tales about all of the times you got lost. Do not worry there are better adventures to share than how you got lost.
Have you ever found yourself on a dark and lonely street in an unknown area that seemed like the kind of place you would never be caught dead in after dark? If this has happened to you, you most likely will remember the sense of excitement, the sense of danger, the feeling that stopping at one of the few places still open was the same kind of thrill as Russian roulette. If you haven't do you wonder what it would be like?
What about your relationships? You know how those long journeys help you to bond with your special navigator. You remember those times when your special navigator frantically flips through a large gas station map or one of those direction lists downloaded from an internet web site. A car GPS will eliminate these future opportunities.
You may be afraid that a car GPS will deprive you of those talks about what the now missing signage that is no longer there may have said. Perhaps you will talk about how long it might be before the wrong road could lead to a rest or those magical meals at a rest stop or diner you would have never found while you try to figure out whose fault that wrong turn was. Will a car GPS eliminate your chance for those bonding experiences you now know so well?
Did you know that your new car GPS will probably talk to you while you drive. It will speak and tell you when to turn. It will do so in plenty of time to do it safely. It will guide you along your trip with ease. Most likely it will probably be programmable to locate a gas station that will accept your credit card or maybe help you discover your new favorite coffee place.
Remember those long rides through dark unknown areas where silence was almost deafening? Will you miss those thoughts about having already passed your turn and other paranoia from the unknown. What about the wait for the unknown distance to the next restroom? These questions and concerns can help you get in touch with yourself but they will not happen with your new electronic guidance.
Remember that what doesn't kill you makes you makes you stronger. With a car GPS, won't you miss all that strength?
